The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) Charities of Charleston

The RMH Charities of Charleston has welcomed more than 70,000 families since 1983.  Families come to the House from around the world seeking health and hope for their critically ill children.  Only a few steps from MUSC’s Children’s Hospital, the RMH Charities offers warm beds, showers and regular meals to families, thereby allowing families to focus on what matters most: their children.  The environment is warm and comforting, a place where families can share their fears and support each other.  There is no time limit on how long a family may stay at the House; some families have stayed for over a year while their child has waited for a heart.  The RMH Charities of Charleston are financially supported by owners of local franchises and local individuals and groups.

The RMH House Charities is located at 81 Gadsden Street in Charleston.  The Garden Club of Charleston is engaged in the redesign, small expansion and maintenance of the existing garden plot to enhance garden comfort, privacy and serenity and, as such, is incorporating the key aspects of serenity garden design.  The Club also plans to enhance additional garden rooms in the future.
